At the Ceranfeld is burned fat - what can you do?

If it gets really hot while cooking, a little bit of grease quickly spills onto the ceramic hob. In a hot Ceranfeld the fat usually burns very quickly. How to remove such stains and splatters again, read in this post.

A fresh grease splash is best wiped on immediately with absorbent kitchen crepe. This absorbs the fat quite thoroughly and there is little left over that could burn in.

You should also make sure that the hob and pan bottom are always clean, and there are no traces of grease on the bottom of the pot or on the hob, before you turn on. This will save you the annoying and tedious removal of particularly stubborn stains on the hob.

Remove burned in grease

Basically, traces of grease, even if they are baked, still remove quite well. The prerequisite for this is that you first soak them sufficiently. There are several suitable means for this:

  • oven cleaner
  • Dishwasher tabs, dissolved in water
  • Detergent concentrate with high fat dissolving power

You can also use other remedies and home remedies. Most effective in most cases, however, is oven cleaner, as it is designed for this purpose (the removal of burnt fat).

Fat removal step by step

  • kitchen roll
  • ordinary detergent
  • oven cleaner
  • glass cleaner
  • scraper
  • soft (!) cleaning sponge - no pot sponges, wire sponges or similar
  • soft, lint-free rag

1. Clean the ceramic hob

Clean the ceramic hob with a soft sponge and washing up liquid while still warm (no longer hot!). This absorbs excess grease still on the hob and makes the oven cleaner easier to work with.

2. Apply oven cleaner

Foam the baked stains well with oven cleaner. Spray from approx. 20 - 30 cm away, observe manufacturer's instructions. Leave for at least 10 - 15 minutes.

3. Insert scraper

Carefully walk over the stains with the scraper. Keep the scraper flat and never move sideways, otherwise you'll get deep scratches. Carefully scrape off the soaked stain. Wipe clean with a paper towel or a sponge, repeat step 2 if there is still something visibly burnt in.

4. Thoroughly clean the ceramic hob

Once the burned-in grease has been removed, thoroughly clean the ceramic hob again, preferably with glass cleaner or detergent dissolved in water.

Tips & Tricks

When wiping stains on the hot ceramic hob, make sure that sponges do not melt on the ceramic hob. Otherwise, you have a much bigger problem after that. It is best to use kitchen crepe and wipe up quickly.
