Drywall profiles: an overview

Among the prefabricated metal profiles, there are a variety of differently shaped profiles, which are each intended for specific purposes. They are connected to each other either by plug-in angle or by screwing. The different types of profiles here in a short overview:

UW profiles are the horizontal rail profiles, which are mounted horizontally and vertically to the solid walls when constructing a freestanding wall on the floor and ceiling. They form the basic framework of a freestanding wall, but also a formwork. They can have different web widths.

CW profiles form the vertical uprights on a freestanding wall. They are clamped between the UW profiles and fastened with mating angles. On them, the GK plates are screwed later. In contrast to UW profiles, the edges of the CW profiles are bent inwards. Your open side must always point in the same direction during assembly.

UA profiles are stiffening profiles in a slightly stronger material version, usually 2 mm thick. They serve to stiffen the construction of UW and CW profiles. They are punched and unperforated.

LW profiles are designed for the construction of corners in a freestanding wall, in each case different versions for inner and outer corners. By default, her leg length is 60 millimeters. The web height must correspond to that of the UW profiles used.

SP profiles are so-called sound insulation profiles. They can be used instead of the usual CW and UW profiles, where additional sound insulation is required during construction.

CD profiles are used to construct the substructure of suspended ceilings - they can be used both for the basic construction and for the slat construction.

Spring rails profiles can also be used for the ceiling construction.

UD connection profiles are used for wall connection of suspended ceilings or the ceiling connection of fixed formwork. They are available in very different versions, also curved or unequal in shape.

Lintel profiles are suspended and fixed between two CW profiles. They cover the door frame after the upper door frame.
