Elefantenhaut

Elefantenhaut

Elephant skin is the colloquial name for liquid, colorless wallpaper protection. As a rule, the application of elephant skin on wallpapers leads to a shiny protective film, whereby discolorations (as by nicotine) and dirt deposits can be avoided. In some cases, elephant skin is used to keep pets and cats from damaging the wallpaper.

Elefantenhaut: wall

The gloss of a painting with elephant skin depends on the surface structure of the substrate. To obtain a glossy wall, therefore, more than one coat is necessary on rough surfaces.
