After cutting out the basic shape, first the tips of the "hearts" are cut very easily (one to two millimeters) and folded down. They later form the adhesive surfaces for attachment to the toothpick.

In order to fan out the shamrocks, the four "hearts" are now also cut in from the outside with scissors. The cut must go almost completely, the single sheets should only be connected to a small piece.

Glue lucky clover together

When fanning and gluing the lucky clover fingertip feeling is needed.

Then gently hold the leaves together with your thumb and forefinger and fan out the leaves concentrically. It can happen that the previously spread adhesive surfaces are squeezed a little, but that plays no role in the toothpick variant, the adhesive surfaces are so large enough.

Now the tip of a toothpick is moistened with a small drop of glue and then carefully pressed into the middle of the fanned shamrocks. With hot glue it sticks the fastest, but you can also burn your fingers easier. If you want to play it safe, you can also use tweezers to glue the lucky clover together.
