Install garage door correctly

When installing a garage door, a distinction must be made between the three construction types. Swing, sectional or roller doors can be mounted with or without electric drives. Important for the subsequent noise and noise free operation is the exact alignment and fixation of the frame.

Advantages and disadvantages of swinging doors

Garages with swinging doors are rarely installed today because they require a lot of space and are difficult to operate in manual mode. When mounting the garage door with swinging wings, the exact horizontal alignment of the frames is essential. Lateral guide rails do not exist because the swing gate is guided in overhead rails.

Through the installation of swinging doors, the subsequent adjustment and adjustment is usually easier to accomplish, since the entire locking mechanism works "coarser". A possibly occurring squeaky garage door can usually be removed with a few drops of oil in the guide rails.

Roll and sectional doors

Who wants to install garage doors with sectional or rolling doors, has greater effort, especially with regard to the subsequent fine adjustment. The roller shutter-like garage doors need less space in the open state, are quieter when closing, need no stop at the entrance floor and are easier to operate by hand. Millimeter precision is required during assembly to avoid tilting and noise.
