Edit marble

For most people, working on marble in sheet form is relevant. As a floor covering, as a kitchen countertop, as a furniture cover plate or table and as a vanity marble is in most cases before. Cutting, grinding and polishing are the necessary types of processing.

Typical types of processing

Cutting marble is difficult. With a Flex, producing clean cut edges is almost impossible. A wet cutting table that can be borrowed increases the chances of success for clean cuts. Professional companies and stonemasons cut marble with a bundled jet of water into special machines.

The sanding of marble is also possible for laymen. With diamond grinding blades, the surface can be processed and, for example, scratches can be eliminated. The consumption of abrasives is high and the work is very loud and produces a lot of dirt. Polishing both by machine and by hand is easily possible and the polishes and tools are available in a wide range.

2. Prepare work on site

Remember the high level of grinding dust development and protect the environment accordingly. The cooling water must be able to be collected or run off. Ensure undisturbed editing and, above all, keep children away.

3. Set up a workplace

With mobile marble, store the plates and steles to be processed ready for work. Build the wet cutting table steadily. Have an assistant available to move and hold the heavy marble.

4. Create protection

Before switching on the machine, always put on ear protection, eye mask and breathing mask. Working gloves additionally protect the hands. Keep the vacuum cleaner and, if necessary, the water hose ready for cooling.
