2. Mark the vertical for the first non-woven wallpaper web

Walls are always a bit wrong. This is completely normal, even if it never visually noticeable. For this reason, you should never start wallpapering in the corner. In order to be able to actually attach the wallpaper vertically, use the plumb bob, the chalk line and the mason's pencil. Check everything with the spirit level.

Now start cutting the non-woven wallpapers. When processing, note that you cut the wallpaper up and down about 2 cm longer and later let it stand out while wallpapering accordingly.

Especially with patterned wallpaper would be due to the repeat (details on the inlayer of the wallpaper package) a complete train waste (too short) very annoying.

Starting from the second lane, you will do the same with the processing, only that you are no longer orienting yourself by a mark made by you, but by the first wallpaper lane. Line up each additional lane for the previous wallpaper course.

7. Uniform pressing on the wall

Many non-woven wallpapers are textured wallpapers. Therefore, roles are often unsuitable for pressing. Better, because of the power optimally dosed, are wallpaper brushes.

Tips & Tricks

For wallpapering, always start at the main window (the more important or brighter window). They basically paper away from the light. In addition, first ceilings, then walls are papered.

Gluing the walls requires some practice because you can not really see the applied paste. As you should always use high-quality products for wallpaper paste, we recommend the best-known brand here with a purple packaging. Under "Wallpaper paste xxx Control" a pink colored product is offered. The color is no longer visible after drying, but facilitates the painting enormously.

If possible, make thin walls with conventional paste. Especially on difficult surfaces such as plasterboard, the non-woven wallpapers are really easy to peel off (the stretchability of the carrier layer is higher than the stability of the paste.) Although some wallpaper manufacturers promise very easy peeling, this does not always work, so you are always on the safe side,

After you start wallpapering at the window, you will also need appropriate guides and instructions here. Of course we also offer articles in the house journal for wallpapering windows or corners.
