Oven and microwave over each other - good combination

Oven and microwave are two essential appliances in a modern kitchen. To save space, today many owners of a fitted kitchen want to arrange the electrical appliances on top of each other. But not all combinations really make sense. Microwave and oven are in most cases a good combination that complements well.

Microwave and oven

Hardly a combination of electrical appliances in the kitchen fits together better than microwave and oven. The advantages are obvious, because on the one hand, there is plenty of space on the work surface when there is no microwave available. On the other hand, both devices can still be installed increased despite the combination, which relieves the back enormously.

Warming drawer

The combination of microwave and oven on top of each other has yet another advantage, because under the oven can still install a practical warming drawer, which is also already in many kitchens standard.

However, if you want to add a steamer to this combination in addition to the oven, microwave and warming drawer, you should gradually consider placing two devices one above the other and not stacking them all on top of each other. Especially people who are not overly tall can not look into the top unit otherwise. In addition, then a device would have to be installed quite low down, which is no longer considered desirable today.

Matching cabinet

Of course, the cabinet must fit perfectly with the chosen combination. Do not be fooled here. A cabinet that has to be made to fit with a large number of panels is not only a waste of space, but also visually no enrichment. You should insist that either suitable devices or a suitable cabinet be ordered. In case of doubt, the kitchen builder must produce a custom-made product for you.

Tips & Tricks

If you really want to cook, you should not buy any combination of appliances that might have an oven and steamer in an oven. After all, you will never be able to use both devices at the same time. With elaborate dishes you will easily get into trouble.
