Pavement slabs - these dimensions are there

Even with sidewalk slabs, there are changing fashions. Therefore, very large format panels are currently very modern. But they have even more advantages, because fewer joints means less cabbage and dirt accumulates in the joints.

Common dimensions in sidewalk slabs

  • 30 x 30 x 4.5 centimeters - about 11 pieces / about 107 kilos per square meter
  • 30 x 15 x 4.5 centimeters - about 22 pieces per square meter / about 107 kilos
  • 30 x 30 x 6.0 centimeters - about 11 pieces per square meter / about 144 kilos
  • 30 x 15 x 6.0 centimeters - about 22 pieces per square meter / about 144 kilos
  • 40 x 40 x 5.0 centimeters - about 6.25 pieces per square meter / about 120 kilos
  • 40 x 20 x 5.0 centimeters - per square meter about 12.5 pieces / about 120 kilos
  • 40 x 60 x 5.0 centimeters - per square meter about 4.17 pieces / about 120 kilos
  • 50 x 50 x 5.0 centimeters - per square meter about 4 pieces / about 120 kilos

Special dimensions for special ways

If pavement slabs are to be laid on parts of buildings, it makes sense to use thinner and thus lighter slabs so as not to burden the statics. So whether on a basement or on a roof terrace, these pavement slabs bring less on the scales.

  • 80 x 80 x 3.8 centimeters - weight per square meter about 88 kilos
  • 60 x 60 x 4 centimeters - weight per square meter about 90 kilos
  • 60 x 40 x approx. 3.7 centimeters
  • 40 x 40 x approx. 3.7 centimeters
  • 40 x 20 x approx. 3.7 centimeters

Tips & Tricks

For very large sidewalk tiles you need a particularly level surface and a good slope. Especially the big 80 x 80-centimeter plates break very fast on uneven ground. Besides, they are extremely impractical because you can not lift them by yourself.
