The prices for GFK plates are confusing

Sheets of fiberglass (GRP) are available in different sizes and thicknesses. Unfortunately, it is very common among sellers to only quote unit prices. The base price for one square meter usually has to be calculated by the interested party. This leads to a costly price search, which is additionally watered down by variable freight cost models.

The standard thicknesses are GRP sheets in 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 millimeters. The majority of products are epoxy with glass fiber mats or glass filament fabrics. Plates are offered in a wavy and smooth shape.

Price increases per millimeter and freight costs

The price per square meter for GRP panels, with a thickness of two millimeters, ranges between fifty and eighty euros. Per millimeter of additional strength is to be calculated with a price increase between five and ten percent. Depending on the size and order quantity, flat-rate freight costs between five and twenty euros are common within Germany.
