  • impact drill
  • Kreuzschlitzbit
  • hammer
  • Schleifkork
  • 180-grit sandpaper
  • 240-grit sandpaper
  • Forstner drill ø = 30 mm
  • Wood drill ø = 4.0 mm
  • Stone drill ø = 8 mm
  • sinker

  • Flat-head screwdriver big or a pair of pliers

Tip: If you drill with the Forstner drill, keep lifting it slightly so that the drill chips can fall out

Note: When screwing two wooden parts, the wooden part, which is screwed through first, must always be pre-drilled! For a flush surface, all screw heads should be sunk.

Step: Cut and glue frame

Showcase: Build collector cabinets yourself: cabinets

3.1 Have all MDF boards cut at the hardware store.

3.2 Sand all edges with 180 grit sandpaper.

3.3 Apply some wood glue to the top edges of the shelves (1 and 2), then screw the side panels (3) to the shelves (1 and 2). These must be flush with the rear edges so that the upper floor leaves 10 mm space for the aluminum rail.

Step: Make drilled holes

4.1 Now fill the screw holes and smooth the surfaces - when the putty has dried - smooth.

4.2 Now drill the holes for the cabinet hangers as indicated on the drawing. Attention: Do not drill too deep! Then carefully hammer in the cabinet hangers with a hammer.

4.3 When you have cleaned all parts thoroughly, paint them with Genius PRO primer. Since the edges of the MDF boards absorb more paint than the surfaces, paint them twice.

5.1 Cut two aluminum profiles over a length of 160 mm (6), and clean the cut edges with 180 grit sandpaper. Then glue a strip of foam sealing tape on each inner leg of the rails.

5.2 Cut the polystyrene board to the specified dimension (5) with a utility knife and smooth the edges. First with 180er, then with 240-grit paper.

5.3 After the MDF parts have dried, sand them with 240 grit sandpaper. Remove the sanding dust and apply Genius PRO Universal Paint evenly with the paint roller.

Step: Finish the showcase and hang it up

6.1 If the paint is dry, unscrew the rear panel (4) so that it is flush with the outside. Then glue the aluminum rails (6) to the edges with mounting adhesive on the front.

6.2 Now transfer the dimension of the cabinet hangers to the desired position on the wall. Drill the holes, then hammer in the dowels and turn the wall hooks so that they only look a little bit out of the wall.

6.3 Once you have hung the showcase, push the polystyrene plate (5) into the rails - that's it!
