Tips for building a drywall with door

For a dry wall with door (max load 25 kg), the material list is compiled before the start of construction.

material requirements

  • CW profiles
  • UW's profile
  • lintel
  • Plasterboard
  • mineral wool
  • PE film
  • smallest material

Metal stand with door

At the bottom, the UW profiles are laid in a recess. The fixation takes place, with a distance of 80 - 100 cm, with screws. For a laminate floor, the circular saw is used for the cut corresponding to the course of the wall. The Dämmband is not required in an already existing impact sound insulation. On the wall, the course of the CW profiles is drawn. After the sealing tape has been attached to the back, the profiles are anchored in the wall at the top, center and bottom with the drywall screws. An axial distance, depending on the dimensions of the plate, must be taken into account when setting the CW profiles. The lintel profile is pushed over the two CW profiles. Before fixing, the alignment is based on the height and width of the door. On both sides of the profiles, the plug-in angle are attached and anchored by means of rotary dowels in the ground. Before installing the plasterboard, check the correct distance between the lintel and the ceiling.

Planking with plasterboard

Impregnated and non-impregnated plasterboard can be used for planking. This depends on the later use of space. The dimensions are transferred to the plates and then cut with a craft knife. Plasterboard can be easily broken. Any protrusions should be deburred with sandpaper.
With the drywall screws, they are now attached to the stud. Among them is the mineral wool (alternatively offer insulation mats) and the PE film their place. With the assembly of the plates is not to start at the edge, but in the middle. So small corrections can be made on the sides.

fill in

The ready-to-use joint filler can be used immediately for pre-filling. After a short time of dressing, remove large excesses. The same leveling compound can be used for topping up. If the joint filler has dried, it should be checked before the next work step if the surface is flat, otherwise it should be sanded off.
