How the waffle iron works

1. Mix the eggs, butter and sugar

Sift the flour and the baking powder and stir in the butter mixture. Then slowly stir in the milk.

Bake waffles

The waffle iron should definitely be on a secure, heat-resistant surface. First, it must be preheated. If the appliance shows that it has the right temperature, you can pour in the dough. Close the waffle iron and let the waffles bake.

It is best to place the waffle iron on a surface that you can easily clean later, as it happens over and over that dough drips down. When the waffles are ready, you can remove them. Be careful and always make sure that you do not scratch the coating. It would then no longer work and dissolved chips from the coating should not get into the food - they are dangerous to your health.

You should also be careful when cleaning. Gently wipe the coating with a cloth, paying special attention to the spaces between them. Be sure to avoid scratching or scraping cleaning equipment.

Tips & Tricks

You do not have to grease a waffle iron - it is advisable to brush up a thin layer of oil. Most of the time, the waffles are easier to remove.
