  • at SOLO systems the heater in the middle of the pedestal.

Please also note the enclosed description of the heating element! Watch out for one Matt Heating (e.g., Calesco or Carbon) insist that they not kinked becomes, not lying on the transitions of the floor slabs, and that the heater first after filling the water mattress switched on becomes.

2. Run the heating connection cable out of the waterbed at one corner of the foam wedges.

1. Now pull the safety foil over the upper half of the split foam tray. You're welcome possibly wrinkle-free in the area of the heating element.

Caution: The safety trough must not be mounted "on the left", i. the smooth side (in the area of the welds) must be on top.

Only with dual systems: Place the Termotrennwand center in the "tub", So that for the left and right mattress is the same amount of space. The Heating elements must never be under the separating wedge.

2. For the subsequent steps it is of particular importance that the Water mattress corresponds to the room temperature, (the vinyl can break otherwise)

3. Lay out the water mattress / -n in the safety tub. The water core is vacuum-packed for safety reasons. Well that Open the filler neckso that the mattress can "draw air". This process takes about 2 to 3 minutes.

4. After that Fold the water mattress carefully and carefully apart, so that the filler neck is at the foot end. Make sure that the Corners of the mattress are adapted to the safety tub and the framebecause during filling the situation can hardly be corrected.

Fill the water mattress

1. Now fill the water cores with fresh tap water using the supplied hose set

For DUAL systems each alternating 5-10 minutes, the left and right sides in alternation. Put the filler neck outwards. Be sure that the mattress not "crowded" is, otherwise the comfort is impaired. Due to the lime content, it is better to fill with cold waterbut if you do not want to wait 3 days for the water to warm, we recommend filling in lukewarm water (Optimum water temperature for sleeping: 28° C).

DANGER: The mattress for the time being only about 4 cm deep with warm waterMake final corrections (center and check corners). The mattress must never hit any wrinkles on the underside.

Standard filling: Fill the mattress 3/4 of the foam pan height with water, Then continue to the next step. If you do not have contact with the floor in your usual sleeping position, or if you have the feeling of "sagging", the mattress is filled correctly. Otherwise, fill up with water. Always in small steps of a maximum of 3 liters, then close the mattress cover again and sample lie.

DANGER: Under no circumstances may you fill the water tank beyond the height of the edge of the foam (see also chapter "Optimal filling quantity").

Do not lie on the water sample without tying the mattress cover firmly. The feeling of lying with and without reference is very different and you could damage the water core without protective cover.

Draw up the cover

1. Tighten the mattress cover on the upper half of the split foam tray and fix Add it additionally by means of the roll supplied Velcro closure under the upper foam wedge half. For split editions, pay attention to this middle zipper along the bed runs and not centrally through your mattress. Usually the slide of the zipper is always at the foot end.

2. After filling the Fill conditioner, Open the zipper at the foot end and open the valve again to fill and vent the mattress.

3. Vent the waterbed

4. Close the filler neck carefully and place it inside the mattress. The thermostat Place outside on the frame and the Start up the heating.

Now you can fully enjoy the comfort of your new waterbed! Make sure that the mattress is not "crowded", otherwise the comfort of lying down will be negatively affected.

Please note the chapter Waterbed: Optimal filling quantity

Waterbed: Optimum capacity

After Standard filling of 2/3 of the foam edge You have the opportunity to optimally adjust your water mattress to your body. This usually does not go from one day to the other, so you have to muster a little patience.

Guide values for filling:

  • approx. 50 kg to the top of the foam wedge
  • about 60 kg to 0.5 cm below the foam wedge
  • about 70 kg to 1 cm under the foam wedge
  • about 80 kg to 1.5 cm under the foam wedge
  • about 90 kg to 2 cm under the foam wedge

Fig. 2.

For the first day: If you do not have contact with the floor in your usual sleeping position, or if you have the feeling of "sagging", the mattress is filled correctly (see Fig. 3). In the first days the body has to get used to it.

So far, your body has more or less adapted to its sleeping pad. These times are over now. So it may be that the first nights are not the most beautiful. Therefore, you should not immediately experiment with the fill quantity, except you are lying clearly wrong as in Fig. 1 or Fig. 2 described.

Fig. 3

In the case of Fig. 1 do you have to Drain the water, This is best done with a short piece of tubing, which is one end in the mattress and with the other end in a lower bucket. If the water does not run by itself, it helps if you suck in on the lower end of the hose.

CAUTION: Conditioner-added water is poisonous and should not be swallowed.

In the case of Fig. 2 you have to hose it to refill water, Please be careful in both cases. It is easy to misjudge, because at a certain degree of filling, even small differences in the amount of water affect the feeling of lying markedly.

The best you go in the later fine tuning in Steps of about 3 liters per day in front. Remember that Filling water is usually easier than draining water, Especially in the first time, many air bubbles still form in the water core. These can also have a negative effect on the comfort of lying in a large volume. In this case, please pump off air. If the waterbed is too full, you can drain off water by inserting a piece of tubing into the mattress and sucking in at the other end until water enters the tubing. Now you can run the water in a lower bucket.

Vent the waterbed

After installation, the water mattress is vented as well as possible with a breather pump. Since oxygen is released from the water and also from the fleece during the first days and weeks due to the added conditioner, you should bleed air after a few days and again after about one month.

In the case of temperature changes, air will be released from the water over time. Then bleed the bed again if it disturbs the splashing.

  • Put watches and other items that could hurt the vinyl.
  • Open the mattress cover and fold it over. Now carefully pull out the mattress valve and open it.
  • If larger amounts of air are involved, push them out by hand to the open valve. Alternatively, you can also use a wide paper roll or similar. Now screw the Breather pump on the mattress valve, Lift the breather pump a little and use it like an air pump.
  • As soon as the water level rises into the valve, draw the air from the environment to the valve and pump again until the water in the valve is reached. This is especially important "Carrying away" the air from the corners and edges of the mattress, You can do this by hand by using the mattress from the headboard forward "knead", This will collect the air bubbles and transport them forward to the valve where you can pump out the newly collected air.

Temperature of waterbeds

The "right" temperature for your waterbed is an individual thing. The average is around 28° C.

At the beginning, set the temperature 28° C on. If you look for about 2 nights feel it's too warm or too cold, Adjust the regulator by ½° C in the direction of the tendency, Wait at least 2 nights with another change in temperature as the temperature changes very slowly.

Keep the temperature a bit warmer than too cold, as the body quickly gets used to the heat that supports the circulation and makes it feel very pleasant. The temperature should not be set below 26° C, for two reasons: One is a temperature below 26° C unhealthy for the userbecause this no longer corresponds to the temperature requirement of the human body.

On the other hand you sweat at night. In ordinary mattresses, the sweat swells up deep into the mattress. Fortunately, this is not possible with waterbeds but enough heat must be generated for thisso that the moisture pulls out of the cover. This is only from 26° C the case, otherwise there is a risk that foxing form on the underside of the cover.

Waterbed Transport: Emptying the waterbed

1. power plug of the heating system necessarily pull out!

2. Top the mattress cover remove.

3. mattress valve carefully pull out and open.

4. to professional emptying the mattress you need one special waterbed pump with appropriate connections. These are available on loan from her AQUA COMFORT dealer or in any other Waterbed Specialists, Follow the instruction manual of the loaned pump.

5. CAUTION: First move the water coreif already one Vacuum is created and only a little liquid in the fleece located. The Flies must already be firmly and immovably in the water core by the vacuum, otherwise there is still too much water in the mattress. Entering the water core when empty is not recommended.

6. If the Mattress is under vacuum can you do that Turn off the pump and remove its connection from the valve, there allow as little air as possible to penetrate and close the mattress as soon as possible so that a vacuum remains.

7. The mattress can now fold carefully and transport well packed!

Waterbed care

Vinyl cleaner and vinyl cream

vinyl cleaner

You can significantly extend the life of your water mattress when you hit the surface of the water mattress Remove vinyl foil 6-10 times a year with a special vinyl cleaner to remove dust and transpiration residuesthat attack and age the vinyl. The vinyl cleaner nourishes the vinyl from the outside and improves its structure.

vinyl cream

The additional care of the vinyl with a vinyl cream, after using the vinyl cleaner, especially at older water mattresses when additive care products recommended. It brings additional plasticizer from the outside into the vinyl, which keeps the water core supple and soft and counteracts the hardening of the vinyl.

When cleaning the water core, be careful that you Do not leave moisture in vinyl creases or between the containment and the water coreas these too mold stains on the vinyl and under the lined fabric cover.

Dry the hard-to-reach side cracks between the water tank and the safety trough, as well as the center tacks in a dual system, in addition with a dry cloth to avoid moisture residues.

Topliner for mattress protection

OnToplinerprotects the sensitive water core Body exudates and dust and greatly facilitates the care of the water bed, since the cleaning of the hard to reach places between water tank and safety tank is eliminated.

The textile mattress cover comes with Zipped over the top liner, The installation is very easy. It is stretched over the outer foam edges of the waterbed, much like a fitted sheet. Dust and body odors are absorbed by the Topliner and can no longer reach the water core or the cracks between the water core and the safety sump.

The top liner is easy to cleanbecause it has a continuous surface. Body salts and other endogenous chemical substances can damage the water core or impair its elasticity within its long-term use.

ATTENTION: Even if you are using a Top Liner, you should occasionally use vinyl cleaner to maintain the water cores in order to maintain the elasticity of the material and to check the water cores for leaks.
